How to Win at Paintball

By spending some time improving you strategies you will
improve the odds of winning your game. So, in order to
help, here are a few tips for your next game.

Know your own team - know who are the fast people who can
run at the front and who will be good anchors at the back
supporting the fast ones. The people in the rear need to be
able to anticipate where they think the opposition will
attack next. Know which side people feel comfortable
shooting. For instance, if you can only shoot on the right
you need to be that side so you are free and comfortable to
shoot.

Know the opposing team - One strategy is to try to
eliminate the strong players first and then the weaker
players at the end of the game. Alternatively you could
steer well clear of the strong players and go for the weak
ones first.

Someone must know where your opponents are - There must be
someone who can tell the rest of the team what the
opposition are up to and it will be up to you then to
decide what strategy to adopt. It could well be that it's
time to sit and wait. Patience and quietness are two
strategies that are often not played enough.

Find the right positions - You will win by achieving an
advantage and you usually gain the advantage by being in
the better position. When you move, keep shooting at your
opponent so that they can't see where you're going. Try to
get to a position that gives you the best angle to shoot.
Take time to assess how you can do the most damage from
your vantage point. Don't be satisfied with taking out one
opponent when you could have got rid of a whole bunker. If
you can get behind them it will be to your advantage.

Pinching - If you can achieve a pincer like motion and
attack from both sides at the same time you will be in a
very strong position. Look before your first shot, so that
it's effective. If you miss then fire some more in rapid
succession. This can be done on a large or small scale. For
instance, one person can fire at an opponent while a team
mate creeps up on the other side and eliminates them.

Shoot while you move - It's good to learn how to shoot as
you dun, but it's not easy. You have to crouch in order to
keep the gun low. If your opponent is doing this to you
then fire paint balls in front of them.

Communicate - Don't go off and do your own thing or you
could get shot by friendly fire. Tell people your plans and
ask for help. Remember that a team is far stronger than a
group of individuals.

Safety first - Paintball can be dangerous and you should
always be responsible and sensible. Make sure you wear the
right gear and watch what you shoot at. For instance, you
can only shoot others in the game, you should never shoot
anyone at close range and you should never shoot at glass
or anything that could shatter.
