Cruising the Vacation Market

Vacation packages very often include the transportation
and the room. Some packages include one or two meals per
day as well. Cruises, however, include the room, the
transportation (the boat, not the airline to the boat) and
all your meals as well. Cruises have proven to be an
excellent value for the money.

Regardless what your interests may be, there is a cruise
for you. Cruises go to exotic ports of call in Mexico and
the Caribbean, tropical paradise in the Pacific and
Hawaiian Islands, natural beauty in Alaska, history and
elegance in Europe, and many other exciting places. There
are even cruises that allow you to embark on a riverboat
adventure down the mighty Mississippi River. Wherever you
want to go, there is a cruise there waiting for you.

The value of a cruise starts with the fact that you know
exactly what your entire vacation is going to cost, except
for souvenirs and potentially a bar tab (some cruises
include this in the price as well). All your meals are
covered, as is the room. The meals themselves will blow
you away. The buffets and the sit down meals are always
impressive and the food is often better quality than you
would find in most expensive restaurants. There seems to
be food served almost all the time between the sit down
meals and all of the buffets.

Vacationers who prefer activity to seconds enjoy cruises
due to the wide variety of activities available. Most
cruise ships have phenomenal athletic centers aboard with a
vast array of workout machinery. Additionally, there are
trained staff members on hand to lead exercise classes
which range from spinning to yoga. Other activities are
usually available, including rock climbing walls, tennis,
basketball, volleyball, and even golf. These activities
vary from ship to ship so you are encouraged to look into
several different cruise lines before picking one for your
vacation.

A cruise vacation is much more than being on a boat. The
vessel sails to interesting ports of call that attract
flocks of tourists each year. The benefit of being on a
cruise ship instead of on land is that you will be able to
see more than one town or city without having to waste time
packing and unpacking or checking into and out of hotels.
On a cruise ship, the majority of the sailing takes place
during the night, so you wake up at a new port of call and
have the entire day, or sometimes longer, to see the
sights.

Anyone considering a vacation on a budget should consider
booking a cruise. Your one-stop shopping will have you
smiling as you can budget the exact cost of your top of the
line vacation.
