A Beach Vacation in Australia

If you love lounging on the beach Australia is
your paradise. The southern hemisphere has some
of the most beautiful beaches in the world and
Australia boasts hundreds of them. With so many
beaches to choose from, how can you decide
which ones to visit? The best way is to see what
each beach is known for and choose based on that.
If you~re looking for a little rest and relaxation head
to the town of Durras. Durras is located
approximately three hours south of Sydney. The
beach here is straight out of a travel magazine.
White sandy beaches and turquoise waters make for
a peaceful day at the shore. Swimming and surfing
are excellent here, or take a canoe ride along the
coast. There~s also stunning rainforests in this area
with beautiful vegetation and rare tropical birds.
The quiet town of Durras is also a wonderful place
to spend the night.
Long Beach is one of the most famous in
Australia and is located just south of Durras. The
waters here at Long Beach are very calm and
make it ideal for swimming and jet skiing. Long
beach is very popular with families so it~s the
perfect place to take your kids for the day.
However, it does get very busy so be sure to
arrive early.
If you~re looking for a beach that has a bit more
activity and excitement you~ll want to pay a visit to
Bateman~s Bay. This tourist area can found about
150 kilometers south of the capital city of Australia,
Canberra. There are many restaurants here where
you can dine after a day spent in the sun. The
waters of this bay offer sandy beaches where you
can fish, jet ski, canoe, swim, or simply lay in the
sun. And don~t forget the shopping treasures that
can found in the town where you can find unique
souvenirs to take home for lasting memories.
Surf Beach is another famous Australian beach that
can be found along the south shores of the country.
The waters here are calm enough for children to
paddle in while at the same time the waves are big
enough for some great body boarding. One treat
that you~ll enjoy when you visit Surf Beach are the
dolphins that can easily be seen from the shore.
With so many wonderful beaches to choose from
you~ll have a hard time deciding where to spend
your day. Make sure that you leave plenty of time
in your travel schedule for lounging on the beaches
of Australia. Make sure that you bring along plenty
of sunscreen since the blinding sun will soon cause
your sun to burn.
