Going on Vacation to Disneyland

Disneyland has been a symbol of a theme park and family
vacations ever since its opening in California in July 1955.
It has been a magnet for both kids and parents, pulling them
with its magnificent atmosphere, diverse attractions, and
shows. Quickly Disneyland became a popular vacation
destination for families because it gave parents the
opportunity to enjoy a relaxing vacation in a nearby resort,
while at the same time their children are having fun in the
park.

First-time visitors will be able to take in the Disneyland
Resort with a three- or four-day visit, as opposed to the
full week or more that a first-timer would need to see
Disney World. That leaves a visitor with a few extra days to
visit some of Southern California's other attractions,
including Knott's Berry Farm, Universal Studios, and the
beaches.

When going to Disneyland, think about the hotel you will
stay at. It is best to stay at a hotel inside Disneyland, or
in some of the Harbor Blvd hotels, which are not far from
the front entrances of the park, rather than in an on-
property hotel.

Even some of the on-property hotels, for instance
Disneylands Grand California Hotel or Candy Cane Inn are a
good choice, because their efforts to keep to the Disneyland
theme are highly successful and you will regret missing the
chance to stay there.

A tip to remember is that it is worth to arrive early and
Disney's and to use the FastPass system. FastPasses can be
obtained at the entrance of each ride. It is true, that
while on vacation, you are hardly eager to get up early, but
in order to see as much as possible from Disney's, it is
advisable not to get there late.

Just put a valid park admission ticket in the machine, and
it gives you a FastPass ticket for that ride. Unfortunately,
it is not available for all rides, only the larger, more
popular ones.

When some people are visiting with kids who are too small to
go on some rides, the rest of the group can go by doing a
child swap, just ask the attendant at the attraction's
entrance. Basically, one adult waits with the kids who can't
ride while the others go. When they get back, the adult who
watched the children can ride with no waiting.

Disneyland is a remarkable place to visit anytime of the
year. Constantly, there are great shows. One of the most
popular shows are parades of famous Disneyland characters.
Children love the chance to be photographed together with
their favorite characters. Floats of musicians, dancers, and
horses is another not-to-miss attraction. The unbelievable
fireworks are also a great show.

Whatever rides and attractions inside Disney you visit,
there is no doubt that it will be a memorable vacation for
the whole family. Certainly, for children it will be a
really exciting experience to visit a dream place like
Disney's but for parents, too, the time at Disney's (and the
resorts inside it) will also be a remarkable experience. And
why not repeat it again next year?
